Ta Nah, it’s here! My new album Revolving and Rotating will be released on 1 July. And I can’t wait to share it with you! It centres around the themes of cyclical growth, personal transformation, and the relentless passage of time. My hope is that it will invite you to immerse yourselves in the stories and questions being posed. It is consciously a more commercial offering with nods to New Country, Americana, and Folk Roots.
As usual I’ve had the help of some amazing musicians: Chris Newman (Guitars), Malek Hyde-Smith (Drums/Percussion/Vocals), Dave Olney (Double Bass), Colin Hazel (Keys), Romy Gensale (Vocals), Edd Evans-Morley (Half Bass), Michael Furse-Phillips (Violin), Dawn Loombe (Piano Accordion), Mark Tunnicliffe (Violin).
Thanks also to: Angela Buckley, Alex and Paul Elbro, Robert Hanchett, Julie Jordan, Beth McCabe, Katy Meleuc, and Meg Thomas for vocals on ‘Ararat’.
And, Rosa McNeely Ashby, thank you for allowing me to use your lovely watercolour for the album cover.
Recorded and mixed by the amazing Tim Bond at Bookmatch Recording Studios, Cambs UK. Tim also played some guitar and added some Sound Design too! (Violin on ‘Huckleberry’ recorded by John Jenner, Otley, West Yorks).
Mastered by the equally amazing Andrew Thompson, Sound Performance. Thanks also to Sound Performance for production of the CDs.
Thanks also to my publishers Maori Music Publishing UK Ltd.
Revolving and Rotating will be available on all major streaming platforms and on CD via my website. Links soon!
I really hope you’ll enjoy the album. Share your thoughts with me. ‘Be beautiful misunderstood and mean it every time’. 🙏
