Against the continuing backdrop of the pandemic it’s been another tricky year to say the least! I’m therefore grateful for those small moments of joy 2021 has given me.
I managed to release ‘Birdland Reappraised’. Thanks again to: Bookmatch Recording Studio, Confidential Records, Moari Music Publishing, Sound Performance, 6ft Creative, Starfish Photography. The musicians: Chris Newman, Colin Hazel, Myke Clifford, Keith Hagger, Jody Swanborough and Lulu Hensley. FATEA, RnR Magazine and Louder Than War for their positive reviews.
Play the Flying Pig in Cambridge (before the developers sadly got their grubby hands on it). The venue that nurtured the likes of Pink Floyd, Peter Green and more should have had a blue plaque! Thank you for letting me play.
Popped ‘Up North’ to play after some 20 years. Met up with old friends in Otley. They used to say people who went to the Folk Festival never went home from it – It’s such a beautiful part of the world.
What of next year? Hopefully normality, getting out and playing live (online too), recording some new songs and mostly seeing people!
Thank you for your friendship and support this year. Take care in these strange times, have a great Christmas and New Year.
